Ashvale Chronicle
★★★★★ 4.6
Ashvale Chronicle is the rare mobile RPG that respects your time. Battles are turn-based, so nothing depends on twitchy reflexes, and you can pause mid-fight to think without losing progress. The writing is surprisingly sharp for the genre — side characters have actual personalities.
The touch interface is the star here. Skills sit in a comfortable arc near your thumb, and dragging a hero to a target feels natural after the first fight. There's a text-speed setting and a toggle to skip animations, which I turned on the moment I found it.
Battery-wise it's middling, as most 3D RPGs are, but a built-in low-power mode caps the frame rate and stretched my playtime noticeably. Bring a charger for the big story chapters.
