Hollow Lantern
★★★★★ 4.7
Hollow Lantern is quiet and atmospheric — you wander an abandoned underground settlement, solving small environmental puzzles and slowly filling in a map. There's no timer and no pressure, just curiosity pulling you forward.
Movement is a virtual stick plus a single context button that changes based on what you're near, which keeps the screen uncluttered. The map is fully touch-scrollable and you can drop your own pins, which I ended up using constantly.
Because it's atmospheric rather than flashy, it's kind to the battery and stays cool. It's an ideal 'wind down before bed' game, and easily one of my favorites this year.
